Regulator-informed governance

for boards navigating risk, scrutiny and change

Jaei Advisory helps boards and leadership teams create the conditions for good judgement, stronger assurance and decisions that stand up under pressure.

When decisions carry consequence

Boards and leadership teams are increasingly making decisions in conditions of complexity, scrutiny and change. The issue is not only whether a decision is technically correct. It is whether the board had the right information, asked the right questions, understood the risks and created the conditions for good judgement before the decision was made.

Jaei Advisory brings a regulator-informed governance lens to these moments, helping boards make sense of risk, strengthen assurance and improve the quality of governance conversations before pressure becomes crisis.

Why Jaei Advisory

Jaei Advisory is led by Janet Attwood, a regulator-informed governance adviser, Board Chair, non-executive director, facilitator, speaker and author.

Janet brings a rare combination of regulatory experience, board leadership and practical facilitation. She understands how decisions are made inside the boardroom and how they may later be tested by regulators, stakeholders and events.

Her work specialises in the governance of safety, health and wellbeing and the governance of regulatory decision-making, with a focus on how boards oversee risk, accountability, escalation and real-world impact.

Where our perspective makes a difference

Regulator-informed Governance advisory

For boards and executives needing stronger oversight, reporting, assurance and accountability.

We help organisations understand where risk sits, how information flows and whether governance settings support defensible decisions.

Live Issue governance advisory

For complex, sensitive or high-consequence governance issues.

We help Chairs, CEOs and executives clarify the issue, prepare the right conversations and decide what needs to happen next.

WHS Governance Advisory

For boards wanting to govern WHS, psychosocial risk and officer due diligence with greater confidence.

We help directors move beyond reassurance and understand whether systems are genuinely protecting people in practice.

Regulatory decision-making governance

For regulators, public bodies and boards overseeing statutory or high-consequence decisions.

We help examine whether decision pathways, assurance mechanisms and escalation processes support fairness, consistency, accountability and public confidence.

If your board or leadership team is navigating complexity, scrutiny, WHS governance concerns or a regulatory decision-making issue, we welcome an initial confidential conversation. You do not need to have the issue fully defined before making contact. Often the first step is simply making sense of what is emerging.
